I’m an Online Bingo Affiliate. Do I really need pay-per-click?
The primary reason why Online Bingo Affiliates might balk at the idea of using pay-per-click, or paid search, is exactly that - you have to pay for it.
And with so many other ways of Internet marketing that is not going to cost you anything (except your time), is there really space for a (potentially costly) pay-per-click Online Bingo campaign?
Recap: What is a pay-per-click campaign?
While there are many others, the top pay-per-click search engines are still Google and Yahoo. What these search engines do is they allow people to bid on keywords that relate to their sites, products and offers. In other words, the more you’re willing to pay, the higher up your ad will be on search result pages, right at the top or along the right-hand side where the paid ads are situated.
When you bid for a keyword or keyword phrase, you need to submit the wording for your ad (you have a limited amount of characters), as well as the keywords you’re targeting. You also need to decide how much you’re willing to spend on every click.
Capping your pay-per-click campaign
If you’re new to paid search, or you’ve got a limited budget, it is a smart idea to cap your Online Bingo pay-per-click campaign. Since you’re paying every time your ad is clicked on from a search page, this prevents your whole budget being depleted within one day by click-crazy searchers and also prevents click fraud, where competitors purposely click on rival ads, depleting their budget and effective taking them out of the paid search race.
When you cap your campaign, you specify how many times an hour, a day or a week your ad can be clicked on. Once that cap has been reached, searchers can click no more.
Online Bingo paid search wording
When writing your pay per click ad, bear in mind that it is not always the staggeringly clever and witty ads that work. When it comes to this type of campaign, simpler is better. Ask yourself what would make someone who loves Online Bingo click on your ad. Take interesting angles, put your ads out there and track how they’re doing. If they don’t do well, rewrite and try again. Try a different approach, ask a question or provide an answer. The key here is to tweak and tweak until it works.
After all, if you’re going to spend money on your Online Bingo campaign, you want to spend it on something that works.
