With Christmas and the New Year out of the way, you could be forgiven for thinking that the time for celebration has come to an end. Well, due to a new on the Virtue Affiilates network, I’m pleased to say that the celebrations can continue for a little bit longer!
Last year, affiliates were required to earn £50 on each individual merchant before they were paid, but this requirement has now changed. From January 2010, affiliates will only need to earn £50 of commission across all of our merchants in order to receive their commission cheques.
This means that not only is it now easier for affiliates to get paid, but they will also get paid more often … which is another great reason to celebrate the beginning of the new year!
Knowing that the odd bingo player likes the occasional drink while ticking off their numbers, Bucky Bingo have announced another promotional night: Thirsty Thursday!
The promotion is similar to TV Tuesday (where a LCD TV’s are given away randomly to players who buy a ticket after 18.00 in the evening), except we’re talking champagne here. And not just the cheap stuff - we’re talking fancy!
To be in with a shout of winning, players just need to buy a ticket between 18.00 and midnight on a Tuesday and at the end of the night five players will be chosen at random and given a bottle of quality champagne.

Here at VA, we’re always looking at ways to help our affiliates increase their revenues … and we reckon that the introduction of our dynamic banners will do just that.
Our dynamic banners will display up to the minute information about exacty what’s going on in the bingo rooms of all the programs that we run. You can show your players current jackpot information, the times of upcoming games, the number of people that are currently on site … and a whole host of other information.
The best bit all though is that you don’t need to worry about having to access XML feeds or writing PHP scripts in order to get all this information on your site. That’s all been taken care of by our tech team. All our affiliates need to do is login into the network and pick up the tracking code for the dynamic banner, just as they would any other banner.
To get live data on your site, affiliates just need to follow these instructions:
Select Marketing Tools > Get your promotional materials from the main menu
Choose the relevant Merchant from the drop down menu
Select Flash from the type of creative available
Choose English from the Creative Language
Finally make sure you choose the Dynamic Feed Flash Banners from the last drop down menu
You should then be presented with a list of all of the dynamic banners we have for that particular merchant. Just click on the “Get Tracking Code” link next to the ad you’re interested in and you’ll be presented with your own unique tracking link.
This is what needs to be copied and pasted into your web page. Once you’ve done that, you should find the banner appearing without a problem.
The live data may take a couple of seconds to appear, but once there it will update every minute or so. To allow the data to be updated as often as possible, we would advise that you run no more than two banners on a particular page at a time.

It’s with great pleasure that I’m pleased to announce that today marks the launch of the BOGOF Bingo Affiliate Program - our sixth merchant to go live!
BOGOF Bingo will convert really well for affilates as it does exactly what it says on the tin: it offers Buy-One-Get-One-Free bingo for 11 hours every day. On top of that there will be two more hours of totally free bingo and a host of other promotions such as:

The small print:
There are just a few Terms and Conditions that need to be pointed out in relation to this promotion:
- The promotion is open to those affiliates who have yet to generate twenty banner impressions and a sale on the Virtue Affiliates network as of July 1st 2009
